  • ½ cup Shortening
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 ripe Bananas
  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ cup chpped Nuts Pecan or Walnut


  • First, take your mixer and add the shortening, sugar, and eggs to the mixing bowl. Cream ingredients very thoroughly together. Now, after you got the mixture well creamed you’re ready for the next part. Therefore, add the bananas and beat into the mixture well. Then, next you are going to blend in the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon into the banana mixture until well blended.Finally, mix in the nuts. As a result, an easy mixture ready for baking.
    First, take your 2 Loaf pans and grease (apply shortening to) and flour (sprinkle flour all through the insides of the pan) them both. Next, take your batter and divide them equally between both pans. Finally, bake both at 350° for 1 hour or until the toothpick comes out clean. In conclusion, let banana bread cool slightly and remove from pans.
