  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ cup Butter (soft)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs (well beaten)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped Walnuts (optional)


  • First, in a bowl, combine the sour cream and baking soda. Then, in the mixer, mix the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined. Next, sift the flour and baking powder together. After that, slow the mixer to its slowest setting and add flour mixture and sour cream mixture alternately. Finally, mix till well mixed.
    Now, take a separate bowl and mix brown sugar and cinnamon till well combined. Also the walnuts are optional. Then, in a tube pan or 8 inch pan, pour 1/2 the batter into pan and use 1/2 of the brown sugar mixture and cover evenly. Lastly, and gently pour in the rest of the batter and place the rest of the brown sugar mixture on top.
    Finally, place in the oven at 350℉/176.7℃ for 45 minutes.
