Meatloaf Recipe

Now meatloaf is one of the first dinner recipe taught in the family.  On one hand it is easy to make. By the same token, it does take a little time to cook. But in the end it is worth it, because, you have made a delicious meal that wasn’t really that hard. With that in mind, try cooking up a meatloaf for the family tonight. As a result, they will love it!

In addition try cooking the meatloaf with some scalloped potatoes and coleslaw. Generally speaking, your family will surely be pleased. And end up having seconds. Other than that, have fun and enjoy your meatloaf.

Preparation: 15 minutes

Cooktime: 2 hours

Servings: about 8

Temperature: 350℉/176.7℃ then 425℉/218.3℃

Heres what you are going to need:

 2 pounds Ground Beef
 1 large Onion
 3/4 cup Breadcrumbs
 2 Eggs
 1/2 cup Ketchup
 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
 3/4 cup Ketchup for top of meatloaf
 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
 Bowl
 Cutting Board
 Knife
 Spoon
 Measuring cups
 Measuring spoons
 Foil
 9×5 Loaf Pan or 11×7 rectangle pan

Mixing up some Meatloaf:

First take your 2 lbs. Ground Beefground beef and place it in the bowl. Then, take your 1 large Oniononion and mince or chop (your choice) and add to the meat. Next add your ¾ cup Breadcrumbsbreadcrumbs and 2 Eggseggs. Now take the 2 cloves Garlicgarlic and 1 tbsp. Italian SeasoningItalian seasoning and add to the mixture. Lastly add the ½ cup Ketchupketchup. After that mix throughly until mixture is completely evenly mixed. Also, sometimes it a little hard to mix the mixture with a spoon. With that in mind, you can use your hands.

Cooking up the Meatloaf:

Secondly, take your loaf or rectangle Pan and evenly distribute the 1 tbsp. Olive Oilolive oil throughout the pan getting the sides and all. Next, shape your raw mixture into the shape of a loaf, try to make it even. But it’s okay if you don’t get perfect, it will still taste wonderful. Now place the loaf into either pan you used and add the ¾ cup Ketchupketchup to the top of the loaf. Finally, take the foil and cover the loaf by connecting it tightly all around the edges of the pan. Importantly if you are using a loaf pan, you may want to place something under it, to contain spillage. Lastly place in the oven and cook for an hour and 45 minutes on 350℉/176.6℃ then remove foil carefully and cook 15 minutes more on 425℉/218.3℃.

Importantly if you are using a loaf pan, you may want to place something under it, to contain spillage. Lastly place in the oven and cook for an hour and 45 minutes on 350℉/176.6℃ then remove foil carefully and cook 15 minutes more on 425℉/218.3℃.
