
Brown Sugar Cookie recipe
When your are craving a good cookie, but none are in site. Actually, you will be alright. Because here is a recipe that will have your cravings filled. Now, the best thing about this recipe is that it is pretty simple to make. And with that mind, you will have no problems throwing it together. Opposite of sugar cookies this uses brown sugar which gives the cookie a slightly different flavor.
All in all it is the same cookie. Nevertheless, this recipe is for just original brown sugar cookies, no icing, no nuts, and not even powdered sugar, all which you can use on the cookie. In fact when we make them, we usually put icing on them, which the icing recipe is at the bottom. Okay, so enough about the cookies, you want some, let’s get baking!

Let’s start mixing some brown sugar cookies:
Preheat oven 350°F/176.6°C
First, grab your mixer and your mixing bowl and add the 1½ cup Margarinemargarine and 2 cup packed Brown Sugarbrown sugar. Now, cream those two together very well. Then your going to add the 2 well beaten Eggseggs and blend together very well also. Next, take the 2 cups Flourflour, 2½ tsp. Baking Powderbaking powder, and ½ tsp. Saltsalt and sift together. Now, add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture.
Lastly, take your 2 tsp. Vanillavanilla and then mix all the ingredients together very well.
Time to get baking:
Now, take your cookie sheets and lightly grease them with cooking spray or shortening. Although, instead of greasing the try some parchment paper, reduces the oil going into your cookies. Being that take your cookie dough and make little one inch balls place on the cookie sheet, flatten a little with a spoon and place in the oven to bake. In the end, bake 8 minutes or until lightly brown on bottom.
Okay the icing for the brown sugar cookies as promised:
This is powdered sugar icing!
In fact it is really easy to make, just add 1 tbsp Milk (to start with)milk to ½ cup Powder Sugar (to start with)powder sugar, mix really well. You can make it thicker or thinner with the milk, preferably thicker. And if you want, you can add ¼ tsp. Vanillavanilla too. As stated above, you can also use nuts on the the cookies.
