Generally speaking, when they do get made they are usually breakfast and snacking. Aside from eating, this recipe is fairly easy to make, the only waiting is for the dough to rise. What you are going to need:

Dough:

 1 cup Milk, scalded
 ½ cup Shortening
 ½ cup Sugar
 1 teaspoon Salt
 1 cake or package Yeast
 3 Eggs, beaten
 4½ cups All-Purpose Flour
 Shortening or Spray-on for Greasing
 2 large Bowls
 Knife
 Spoon
 Rolling Pin
 2 Shallow Pan

Orange Filling:

 ½ cup Sugar
 ¼ Butter, melted
 1 whole Orange Peel, grated

Orange Filling for Rolls:

Mix ½ cup Sugarsugar, ¼ cup Butterbutter, and 1 whole grated Orange Peelgrated orange peel in a bowl.

Dough for Orange Rolls:

First take your bowl, add in the 1 cup Milkmilk, ½ cup Shorteningshortening, ½ cup Sugarsugar, and 1 tsp. Saltsalt. Now let sit till lukewarm. After lukewarm, add in the 1 cake Yeastyeast and stir well. Now, take your 3 beaten Eggseggs add them to the mixture. Then slowly start adding in the 4½ cups All Purpose Flourflour and mix until mixture forms soft smooth dough. Next, grab a bowl, Shortening or Spray-ongrease the bowl, place the dough inside to let rise and double in size.


After your dough has risen divide in half, take one half and roll out to ¼ inch thickness. Now take some The orange filling you made priororange filling and completely spread on rolled out area. Then, roll like a jelly roll and then cut 1 inch slices. After that take your slices and place in a greased shallow pan, cut side down. Repeat with the other half. let rise until double in size and then bake 20 minutes at 375℉/190.6℃.

Cooking it up:
