Here we have a recipe that was made to be simple, quick, and easy. As you see when you look at the recipe, that it is pretty basic. This chili is a quick recipe grandma passed down and it is easy and delicious. Now, you’re asking yourself, what would I want with just a basic chili recipe? Your answer is, because it is a starting point to make different variations of the recipe. With that in mind, you can add different ingredients to make it the way you want it. Again, this is a good starting point because it already has great flavor. Furthermore, this recipe goes good on things like, hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta, and more. So you can see that this chili recipe is very versatile, so let’s get cooking!

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 1 hour

Temperature: Medium-High to cook ground beef/Low to simmer

What you are going to need:

 1 pound Ground Beef

 2 (29) ounce cans Tomato Sauce

3 (15.5) ounce cans Dark Kidney Beans

 2 (15) ounce cans Black Beans

 3 tablespoons Chili powder

 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes

 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt

 Salt and Pepper to taste

 8 quart Pot

 Spoon

Mixing up the chili:

First, take your 1 lb Ground Beef8 qt. pot and add the ground beef and cook until meat is brown.
Then, add the ½ tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
½ tsp. Garlic Salt
red pepper flakes and garlic salt and let simmer a few minutes.
Meanwhile take your 2 can Tomato Sauce
3 cans Dark Kidney Beans
2 cans Black Beans
cans of tomato sauce and beans and open all of them and mix them in with the ground beef. Stir.
Then add the 3 tbsp. Chili Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
chili powder, salt and pepper, then stir really well. Finally simmer for 45 minutes to bring out the flavor.

Other ideas for chili:

As mentioned above, other items may be added to the chili such as: 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped green/red/yellow pepper, bag of frozen corn or tomatoes. Tomatoes can be: 2 fresh chopped tomatoes, 2 cans whole peeled tomatoes, or 2 cans chopped tomatoes. Also, the garlic salt can be replaced with fresh garlic, 3 crushed/minced up cloves of garlic.
