Now, as a family recipe, the ham and bean soup recipe has been passed down through generations for many years. As a result, it is still going with the same great flavor.  Although, it may be similar to others recipes, or theirs maybe similar to this one, keep one thing in mind, it is made from the heart. What your going to need:

 2 pounds cubed Ham

 8 cups Water

 2 (15.5) ounce can Navy Beans

 1 (40.5) ounce can Great Northern Beans

 1 (15.5) ounce can Cannellini Beans

 2 Large Potatoes

 1 chopped or whole Onion

 2 cups sliced Carrots

 1 sliced Celery (optional)

 1/2 tablespoon parsley

 1/2 tablespoons minced Garlic

 1 teaspoon Salt

 1 teaspoon Pepper

 Large Pot

 Spoon

Mixing up ham and bean soup:

First of all, we will start by filling your pot with the 8 cups Waterwater.
Then, you are going to want to add the
ham, potatoes,2 lbs. cubes Ham
2 large Potatoes
1 chopped or whole Onion
1 sliced Celery
2 cups slices Carrots
onions, celery (optional), and carrots.

Cut up potatoes and slice carrots. Also onions.

Then, boil them for about 25 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Next, add the 1/2 tbsp. Garlic
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Pepper
1/2 tbsp. Parsley
garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley.

Use these 3 types of bean.
Then, add the 2 cans Navy Beans
1 can Great Northern Beans
1 can Cannellini Beans
beans to the ham and vegetable mixture and let boil for 5 minutes.

Finally, let cook on medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, help bring out the spices more. Then, there you have it, delicious bean soup.

Note: Now, depending on what your favorite bean is, you can use more or less of any of the 3 beans. Also, dry beans can be used after they are cooked and ready for use. Now, one other thing, you can use store bought ham slices. Also, you can cook a ham, or when you do cook a ham chop it up into cubes and freeze it for later.  Finally, enjoy with others.
